Buenos Aires Music Video Festival 2023 Call for Entries Now Open!

  • A new edition of the largest international music video festival in the region is coming.

  • YouTube Music joins as main sponsor of the event in 2023.

Buenos Aires Music Video Festival (BAMV Fest) has opened its call for national and international music videos. The event, which celebrates its fifth edition, invites directors, producers and musicians to participate in six competitions and 34 professional categories among which the best Video of the Year, Rising Video, International Video, and more are awarded.

BAMV Fest highlights creativity and innovation. In this new edition, videos released after August 31, 2022 will participate. Registrations can be made through the Festival's official website (www.bamvfest.com/submit) and the deadline is September 17.

This year, YouTube Music joins as the main sponsor of the event, highlighting the talent of music video makers and artists. "Together with YouTube, we seek to reinforce the support we give to the music video as an audiovisual format and a tool for expression, identity and narrative," says Juan Montes, general director of BAMV Fest. Following this line, a new category has been added: YouTube Shorts, which seeks to recognize and guide the creative work of content creators in Argentina.

In addition, in 2023, BAMV Fest incorporates the new Rising Competition, with the aim of promoting participation and providing space for the growth of independent and emerging national works within the festival. "There is a lot of talent in our country with very creative and innovative proposals and we want the rising scene to have its space" says Eric Dawidson, general producer of BAMV Fest.

The initiative is supported by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentine Film Directors - DAC and the Argentine Chamber of Music Videos - CAV.
