Buenos Aires Music Video Festival presents the 2020 Trajectory Award to Gustavo A. Garzón, an Argentine director who revolutionized the video clip scene at the height of MTV Latino.

Born in Argentina, the director / screenwriter Gustavo Adrián Garzón, has to his credit awards Grammy, Billboard, MTV, Premios Lo Nuestro, among others, he was also part of the Jury Committee this year at the BAMV FEST.

Gustavo has directed more than 200 music videos for stars such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Vanessa Williams, Johnny Cash, J Balvin, Maná, Café Tacvba, Chayanne, Paulina Rubio, Juanes, David Bisbal, Juan Luis Guerra, Luis Fonsi, Gloria Estefan, Gustavo Santaolalla, among others.

He has directed 150+ COMMERCIALS for brands such as SKY TV, P&G, Coca-Cola, DIRECTV, HSBC, Pepsi, McDonald's, Astra Zeneca, Kellogg's, Samsung and many more.

His debut as a screenwriter and director was the feature film VOLVERTE A VER (Mex, 2008), a romantic comedy starring Alfonso Herrera. He has also been a guest artist for the Kinomada Project in Quebec, Canada and directed a feature documentary commissioned by Sony Entertainment for the international group Camila.

As a screenwriter, Gustavo was employed by Sony Pictures Television International to develop and write an action-thiller for Latin America and has written many original pilots (science fiction, dramedy and drama), specs for HBO's series Breaking Bad and In Treatment and many scripts for feature films (adaptations and originals).

His original script THE EXILE about Alzheimer's is a top finalist in the Barcelona Int. Film Festival, Big Break Screenplay Contest, STARZ Denver Film Festival, Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship, semifinalist in the WESCREENPLAY contest and Honorable Mention in the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition.
